Are you curious about what you should know when transitioning from in-office to remote? Were you remote working when the pandemic hit and now being told to go back into the office?
There are 4 things that you should know when transitioning.
Gather all materials you may need. This includes paperwork, your computer, desk, and office chair. You may need more monitors to complete your job however the minimalist way to be able to work from where ever would be just to have your laptop and your internet. If your company is able to have their paperwork on a secure system then you wouldn’t need the physicals papers and save more space.
Create a plan. Have a dedicated hourly schedule and be able to communicate with your team about deadlines and your calendar. By having a successful plan you will be able to have a more productive day.
Set boundaries. Your home and work life need to have different boundaries. By having a set work schedule you will be able to have good boundaries.
There will be many trials and errors. If you have your office in one room and find that it is too loud or not good lighting you want to be able to move to a completely different location. Or even if you have your children while you work and they are being loud, you want to be able to find care if you need it.
